How does it work? When a problem arises, the buyer calls the Home Warranty's toll-free number. They talk to a dispatcher who will assess your problem and make sure it is covered under the warranty. Then, they will send a service representative to the buyer's home. There is usually a service fee of $35 to $50. The parts and labor are included in the fee. This cost is typically runs $245 to $500 depending upon the services covered. The policy lasts for one year.
